Body Vox Superball X

February 27, 2008

The call came in: internationally renowned Portland dance company BodyVox was throwing a bash to celebrate their 10th anniversary season. An event this momentous had to be larger-than-life, so SuperBall X was born; a seated dinner for 120 guests with a Superheroes theme. BodyVox dancers and invited guests alike, dressed as their favorite comic superheroes, will enjoy an evening of fine food, cocktails and performances by the BodyVox dancers. Naturally, Food In Bloom staff was ready to don capes and spring into action!

The scene was set in an historic warehouse on the North West side. Just days before, the warehouse had no electricity or heat. Faster than a speeding bullet, Food In Bloom & the BodyVox Production team transformed this empty warehouse into a dinner theater venue complete with professional stage, tables with crisp linens, fine china set for 120 guests and a cocktail lounge. No kitchen? No problem. Food In Bloom is up to the challenge, with creative solutions to service any event. After all, tonight we're Superheroes!

Guests started off the evening with a specialty cocktail of "Optic Blast Nerve Serum" while enjoying a selection of tray passed hors d'oeuvres served by Food In Bloom staff in BodyVox Superhero attire. As the crowd of Superheroes grew, the anticipation of the dinner and performances was surpassed only by the excitement of who would arrive next - Wonderwoman or the Incredible Hulk? Guests dined on fine Pacific Northwest cuisine prepared on site while the dancers performed Superhero-themed pieces such as the "Justice League's Diner." At the end of the performances, guests pushed aside the tables for a Superheroes Dance Party into the wee hours of the morning. BodyVox Superball X was a Supernight-to-remember.
