Listed below are some frequently asked questions:

How many years has Food in Bloom been in business?

Food in Bloom has been in business for over 30 years and is owned by Art Fortuna and Kurt Beadell. John Merrill is the General Manager.

Does Food in Bloom make wedding cakes?

Though we make all of our desserts in-house, wedding cakes are something we leave up to the pros. We have a list of bakers who we have worked with and would be happy to recommend. We will cut and serve your cake at no additional cost.

What do I need to do in order to hold the date?

A nonrefundable deposit is required to confirm your date and Food in Bloom’s services. Deposit amounts are to be 10% of total estimated costs or $2000.00, whichever is greater. Additional deposits may be required to retain our services of floral, decor, wedding cakes, entertainment, or other non-catering services. An additional deposit of 100% is due 7 days prior to the event.

When will I need to give Food in Bloom the final guest count?

The final count will be due at noon, 7 days prior to the event.

Who will be on site the day of my event?

A skilled Event Manager will be on site, as well as a Lead Server who will be in charge of all staff. Additional management will be on site, as needed.

Can we taste the food that we have selected for our menu?

Certainly. We offer complementary tastings to our booked clients with events valued over $7,000.00. Once the menu choices have been decided on, our chef will gladly prepare a sample of your menu for the big day. If you’d like like to sample our menu prior to booking your event with us, we are happy to do so for $50 per person, up to four people. That fee will then be applied to the balance of your event, when you book with us.

Will Food in Bloom provide any decor for the buffet?

Yes, Food in Bloom provides fresh cut flowers and greenery on hors d’oeuvres platters and on dinner platters that sit on a buffet.

Is Food in Bloom licensed to serve cocktails at my event?

Yes, Food in Bloom is fully licensed by the OLCC and carries liquor liability insurance. All Food in Bloom servers and bartenders are licensed by the OLCC as well.

Does Food in Bloom offer Oregon wine and beer on a consumption basis?

Yes, our house selections include a variety of Oregon and Washington wines as well as local micro brewed beer.

We are thinking of offering Thai cuisine at our event. Can your chef prepare different varieties of ethnic foods?

Yes, our talented chef and kitchen crew can prepare a wide range of cuisines from the classic Pacific Northwest to Latin American. Your Event Planner will work with you to customize your menu for a memorable event.
