Owners Jim and Kristin Harris

Jim Harris is the original founder of Food in Bloom Catering and holds the position of General Manager. Born on the Mediterranean, Jim has traveled extensively throughout the world gaining cooking and restaurant experience along the way. With a background in mathematics and restaurant management, he brings a unique set of experiences to the management of this venerable and highly successful catering business. Jim enjoys golf, gardening and cooking for friends and family.

Kristin Harris is co-owner of Food in Bloom Catering and holds the position of manager and event planner. She graduated from Portland State University with a degree in sociology. Her many years of working in the front of the house in restaurants during her college days prepared her for working with her clients in the catering business. Kristin and her husband, Jim, opened Food in Bloom Catering in 1979 and she has never looked back. Kristin knows how important each event is to a client. She takes the time to be personal with each client to ensure that no detail is overlooked and that no event will ever feel like a cookie cutter experience. Kristin takes great pride in knowing that she and her husband, Jim, have created a working environment where the staff can be creative and feel proud of the final product. During her free time, Kristin enjoys their two daughters, Vanessa and Katherine, cooking, gardening and yoga.
